Incompetech
A music site run by Kevin MacLeod, an American composer and musician who has created thousands of royalty-free music under a Creative Commons copyright license.
The site is pretty easy top navigate, with a music player to sample before downloading, and is sortable by genre, tags, tempo, length.

All he asks for is music credit in your project.

FilmMusic.io
A royalty free marketplace founded by Sascha Ende and his wife Kathrin Ende. It allows musicians to upload their music to be used with credit, or to purchase with a lifetime license.
Also searchable by genre or topic.

BBC SOUND EFFECTS
Free usage of sound effects for non-commercial projects as long as the BBC is credited. The archive has over 30,000 different sounds ranging from natural jungle sounds, all the way to industrial sounds.
Definitely a useful tool to add background foley sounds to a project.

BRITISH LIBRARY SOUNDS
More limited in scope than BBC sounds, the British Library still has some usuable sound effects.
