Data Capture Storyboarding

A quickly settled on an old mine kind of look, after going through Quixel bridge for some additional models I could use to tell a story.

There are a few assets that could help flesh out the caves while being closely relevant.



Early ideas

The initial idea is to have an external establishing scene. Move inside and instil a more of a unknown spooky atmosphere. And then finally end by looking down a vertical shaft.

Rough storyboard

This rough storyboard setup allows me to hopefully create the scene in just two Unreal Engine levels. An external scene for the establishing shots, and an internal scene for the shaft reveal. I wanted to keep this pretty basic in scope while hopefully experimenting with different lighting/camera options.
